These Terms of Use apply to your use of BookWave, an iOS app for reading EPUB and PDF books, listening with text-to-speech, and tracking reading and listening progress.
BookWave is licensed, not sold, to you. Your use of BookWave is governed by Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA), unless a separate agreement is provided.
Apple's Standard EULA is available here: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
BookWave allows you to import EPUB and PDF files and create reading-related data such as supported highlights, bookmarks, and progress records. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the legal right to import, store, access, and use any content you add to the app.
You agree not to use BookWave to import, store, access, or use content in a way that violates applicable laws, copyright, intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or the rights of others.
BookWave does not provide, sell, verify, or authorize the books or files you import into the app. We are not responsible for user-imported content or for how you obtain or use that content.
BookWave may include a small Starter Library of classic books so users can start reading and listening right away. These books are believed to be public domain or otherwise lawfully available for inclusion in the app.
Copyright and public domain status may vary by country or region. BookWave does not guarantee that every starter library book is free of restrictions in every location or for every use. You are responsible for ensuring that any book you import, access, or use in BookWave is lawful in your location and for your intended use.
If you believe a starter library work has been included incorrectly, please contact us so we can review it.
BookWave stores data on your device and may sync data using Apple services such as iCloud and CloudKit. While BookWave is designed to preserve your library data, supported highlights, bookmarks, reading progress, and settings, no storage or sync system can be guaranteed to be error-free.
You are responsible for keeping backup copies of your imported EPUB and PDF files and any important content. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for loss, corruption, deletion, or failure to sync imported books, supported highlights, bookmarks, reading progress, settings, or other app data.
BookWave may offer auto-renewable subscriptions that unlock premium features, such as text-to-speech access, local audio export for eligible books, and premium reading or listening statistics.
Subscription prices, durations, and available plans are shown in the app before purchase and are processed through Apple In-App Purchase.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your Apple ID account may be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings. Deleting the app does not automatically cancel your subscription.
BookWave may provide some features for free and require an active subscription for premium features. The exact set of free and premium features may change over time.
BookWave may provide text-to-speech functionality and local audio export for eligible books. Availability may depend on your subscription status, the type of book, device capabilities, system voices, language support, and app settings.
BookWave is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the app will always be available, error-free, or suitable for every use case.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of BookWave.
These Terms of Use may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
